Overcoming an Eating Disorder
Mimi Lin
Vancouver, Canada
I’m a 40-year-old mom and have been battling an eating disorder that has been a part of my life for many years. Stemming from childhood abuse, this disorder overshadowed my self-perception and daily interactions. It’s been a tough journey, one where I often felt overwhelmed, struggling to balance my health and my responsibilities as a mother.
My experience with Mind Mend over the past six months has been life-changing. The control my eating disorder had over my life has significantly diminished. I’ve become more present with my children, and they’ve definitely felt the positive shift. Our family meals have transformed from times of stress to moments of genuine connection and enjoyment.
After seeing Mind Mend pop up in an ad one day, I decided to give it a try. What drew me in was the promise of a holistic approach to healing. My psilocybin journeys have been nothing short of transformative. They allowed me to face the deep-seated trauma from my past, reshaping how I relate to food and myself. The progress I’ve made is not just visible to me, my family sees it too – we’re closer and happier than we’ve ever been.
Mind Mend has been pivotal in my fight against my eating disorder. For anyone grappling with similar issues, particularly those rooted in trauma, I wholeheartedly recommend Mind Mend. It’s been more than a treatment; it’s a path to a new, healthier, and happier life.
PTSD
Mike Thompson
Paramedic
Calgary, Alberta
As a paramedic, I’ve seen my share of tough scenes, but one day really hit me hard. I was first on the scene of a severe car accident involving a family of three. Despite our efforts, we couldn’t save one of the parents. That incident haunted me, replaying in my mind. It made me distracted and irritable, especially at home. I felt like I was losing a part of myself.
After using Mind Mend for the past few months, I feel like I’ve gotten that part of myself back. I’m not as haunted by that accident anymore, and I’m way more patient and present at home. My wife and kids have really noticed the change – we’re spending quality time together again, just like we used to.
When a friend suggested trying psilocybin journeys. I was skeptical but desperate for a change. I came across Mind Mend and their positive reviews convinced me to give it a shot despite my nerves. And boy, am I glad I did. With Mind Mend, I can finally face and process my traumas. Each journey was a step towards healing, and after several sessions, I started feeling like my old self again – calmer and more in control. Just ask my wife; she’s noticed the huge difference.
Mind Mend shrooms have been a huge help in my recovery. For anyone who’s dealing with tough experiences, especially in high-pressure jobs like mine, I’d recommend trying Mind Mend. It’s been a game-changer for me and my family.

I’m a third-year student at the University of Victoria. Anxiety, especially triggered by school, has been a big part of my life, often leading to panic attacks. These not only affected my studies but also made it really hard to socialize and make new friends, especially being far from home.

Frequently Asked Questions
Microdosing is the practice of consuming tiny doses of psychedelic drugs (in our case, psilocybin mushrooms). In pharmaceutical terms, microdosing refers to the minimum effective dose, which is typically between 1/10 and 1/2 the average amount. Users consume the lowest possible dose to achieve the desired effects without triggering any negative side effects.  These small doses typically do not produce the hallucinatory or psychedelic effects associated with mushrooms, meaning the dose is “sub-perceptual.” Users microdose for a wide variety of psychological and physical benefits. These benefits may include higher productivity, increased energy and focus and boosted creativity, in addition to lower anxiety, stress, depression, and more.
Psilocybin is one of the safest substances you can find and much safer than alcohol, especially when taken in microdoses. Microdosing is proven to be safe and non-habit forming. We advise that you not exceed the recommended dosage and frequency. This is because you don’t want to extend beyond your limits and potentially experience some unwanted side effects, such as temporary loss of body function and/or muscle weakness. Keep in mind experiences like that are not common and will go away in a few hours. Just be sure to follow the dosage instructions.
When it comes to microdosing, we recommend starting at a very lose dose, preferably on a weekend, to see how your body responds. Two days later, dose again based on your initial experience, increasing very slowly. Once you get into a routine, the recommended schedule is to microdose in the morning and take two or three days off between doses. We’ve got a full breakdown on dosing that you can read here mindmend.co/dosing/. Do not microdose daily as you can build up a tolerance.
Possibly, yes. Exciting studies are ongoing to prove that psilocybin can helppeople quit smoking. There is reason to believe that psilocybin may have the potential to treat addiction to alcohol, cocaine, and other substances. Plenty of research is currently in the works, and psilocybin does indeed show the potential to offer an alternative option for addiction treatment.
